The national under-20 football team will participate in the third edition of the West Asian Federation Youth Championship, hosted by the city of Taif in Saudi Arabia, during the period from June 25 to next July 5. The participation of “Abyad Al-Shabab” in the tournament comes as part of its preparations for the qualifiers for the Asian Youth Cup finals scheduled for next September. The West Asian Championship includes 12 teams: the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Bahrain, Oman, Yemen, Kuwait, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, in addition to the Albanian national team, “a guest from outside the region.” The Saudi Football Federation has determined the hosting stadiums for the championship competitions, which will be held at King Fahd Sports City Stadium and Okaz Club Stadium, and the draw for the championship is scheduled to take place on the 18th of this month. The team seeks to make the most of this tournament, in preparation for the important upcoming events, most notably the Asian finals qualifiers. .
