Suresh said it was his ‘second struggle’ as he spent considerable time visiting producer’s offices with hopes to showcase Vivek’s talent. In a candid interview, Suresh revealed how he personally groomed Vivek from a young age by enrolling him in various acting classes and stage performances. When the time came for Vivek to make his Bollywood debut, Suresh left no stone unturned to assist his son. He regularly paid visits to influential producers like Ram Gopal Varma, presenting them Vivek’s portfolio in the form of professional photographs. Suresh would patiently wait for hours outside their offices to get a chance for a meeting. His singular goal was to find Vivek the perfect launch pad to begin his career. After facing multiple rejections, Suresh’s perseverance finally paid off. Renowned director Ram Gopal Varma saw potential in Vivek and offered him his first breakthrough role in 2002 film ‘Company’. Though Vivek started his journey on a high note with this gangster-drama, his subsequent career faced ups and downs for some time. During difficult phases, Suresh continued motivating Vivek and stood like a rock behind his back. Even today, the veteran actor feels proud about the grit shown by his son to rise again on his own strengths.
