MUMBAI: Asserting that he was a fighter who took responsibility when things did not go right, deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Saturday that the BJP got its political arithmetic wrong in the Lok Sabha election in the state.“I am not one to run away, I am the one who fights,” he said, explaining he had requested the central leadership of the party to relieve him of his position in govt only so that he could work full-time with the party for the upcoming assembly election.“I met Amit Shah and told him what is in my mind. His opinion was not very different from yours but he said whatever is going on now, let it be and later we shall prepare a blueprint for Maharashtra,” Fadnavis said at a meeting of BJP MLAs at its Dadar office. We also published the following articles recently Maharashtra deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis meets Amit Shah, JP Nadda; no call yet on his offer to quitDevendra Fadnavis offers to resign as deputy CM due to BJP’s poor LS polls performance in Maharashtra.
