The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) today announced the category-wise top 20 percentile cut-off marks for the 2023 and 2024 board exams. The top 20 percentile criterion is used to determine the candidate’s eligibility for BTech admission. Candidates must either score within the top 20 percentile of their respective boards or qualify the JEE Advanced examination to be considered eligible for admission. JoSAA counseling through which admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and some government funded technical institutes (GFTIs) are done. About 15 lakh JEE Main 2024 candidates have become eligible to participate for about 42,000 seats for the NIT+ System. This year, there will be a total of five rounds of seat allocation conducted by JoSAA. JoSAA is starting the registration and choice filling process today. JoSAA 2024 Counselling: 75 percent aggregate criteria Candidates are required to have completed their Class 12 board exams with a minimum of five subjects, obtaining an aggregate score of at least 75 per cent. However there exists relaxations for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Person with Disabilities (PwD) categories, the minimum aggregate marks required are 65 per cent.
