Greek police have revealed that BBC presenter Michael Mosley died of natural causes after he went missing on the island Symi. The British health guru and TV personality’s cause of death was revealed a day after he was found dead. The initial post-mortem examination found that no injuries could have caused his death, the BBC reported. A local television crew spotted Mosley’s lifeless body on Sunday, four days after he went missing. He had gone on a coastal walk on his own on 5 June. The time of his death was last week Wednesday at around 14:00 BST. READ | Michael Mosley, BBC presenter and 5:2 diet pioneer, found dead in Greece days after going missing “It’s devastating to have lost Michael, my wonderful, funny, kind and brilliant husband,” Mosley’s wife, Clare Bailey, said in a statement. “He did an incredible climb, took the wrong route and collapsed where he couldn’t be easily seen by the extensive search team,” she said. AFP reported that Greece has “seen record temperatures for the first week of June, reaching 39.3 degrees Celsius on Symi”. Mosley is credited with popularising the 5:2 intermittent fasting diet and was on programmes like Trust Me, I’m a Doctor and the Just One Thing podcast.
