The Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club concluded the 2023-2024 judo sports season, winning 107 colorful medals in local and international championships, in addition to achieving two cups: one in first place, and another in third place. The medals were distributed between 19 gold, 27 silver, and 61 bronze, a significant increase compared to 68 medals last season, which reflects the accuracy of the technical approach adopted, in addition to a significant increase in the number of players practicing judo. The Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors, Ahmed Al Owais, appreciated the cooperation of the Emirates Judo Federation, which contributed to achieving an important shift that strengthened the club’s efforts to develop the game, and the support and sponsorship of the Sharjah Sports Council, describing the gains achieved in terms of scouting talented players and the results as exemplary, compared to recent seasons, especially since The majority of players are of young ages.
