We always admire stars for how effortless and elegant they look on screen, but often forget the people who make them look pretty. Among the many people involved in making a star look presentable are the hairstylists. Recently, celebrity hairstylist Maria opened up about her experience working with several stars. Talking about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Kangana Ranaut, Maria had only good things to say. Maria, who worked with Aishwarya Rai for her 2002 film Devdas, claimed the actor has a great nature. In an interview with Bollywood Now, celebrity hairstylist Maria said, “I only styled Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s hair for ‘Silsila Ye Chahat Ka’ song in Devdas. Once I had gone to Greece, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan too were there. The stairs there were a little strange and it was also sort of dark. I was climbing the stairs, while they were getting down. I was there with Kangana for a shoot. I did see her (Aishwarya) but I didn’t bother to greet her. I thought where she will remember me out of all the people. To my surprise, she recognised me and called out my name. She said, ‘Maria, how come you are here?’ I said, ‘I am here with Kangana.’ She is very kind. She has a very amazing nature.” Maria, who now mostly works for Kangana Ranaut, revealed about the actor’s nature and said she is ‘moohphat’ but sweet. If at all you visit her home, she never lets you leave without having food. She always used to be like, ‘Sit and eat first.’ If at all we ever had shoot at noon, she would invite us to her house and serve us whatever was cooked. A lot of times I used to tell her that my assistants will handle this as I have to attend something back home. She would never throw any tantrum. She would always co-operate and let me go. She is ‘moohphat’ with a lot of people, but to us, she always treated us well. She, in fact, took me with her to Himachal Pradesh to show me her residence. And when it was her sister’s marriage, she had taken me with her. She used to compliment me when I did good work. I always call her on her birthday. She says, ‘Maria, you never forget me.'” Kangana Ranaut recently won the Mandi Lok Sabha seat. On the work front, Kangana is looking forward to the release of her film Emergency. She will also be seen in the movie Sita: The Incarnation and a film with her Tanu Weds Manu co-star R Madhavan.
