Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague has been known for her glowing skin, with fans often trying to emulate her skincare routine. The 25 year old mum recently revealed a new favourite moisturiser that is sure to have skincare enthusiasts eager to try it out. The best part? It’s under £35. While many celebrity-endorsed skincare products can be quite expensive, such as Kim Kardashian’s preferred Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream or Chrissy Teigen’s favourite La Mer moisturiser, Molly-Mae’s choice is much more affordable Laneige Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Cream Moisturiser. The moisturiser, which is said to be ‘great for oily skin types,’ is priced at £33.50 for a 50ml tub at Space NK and Cult Beauty. Molly filmed a ‘get ready with me’ vlog on YouTube while attending her sister Zoe’s hen do in Ibiza. In the video, she mentioned that she was almost out of her favourite cream reports OK!. It could be the secret behind Molly’s radiant complexion, according to The Mirror. Molly added: “‘If you’re not using the Laneige Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Cream Moisturiser, then quite frankly, where are you at?” Perfect for both day and night use, this glow-enhancing moisturiser soothes damaged skin and maintains hydration for up to 100 hours. The ‘blue’ in its name comes from a special type of hyaluronic acid that’s been fermented with deep-sea algae, known for its low molecular weight. According to the product description, it contributes to “visibly firmer” skin. Put simply, a single application of this luxurious moisturiser delivers intense hydration deep into the skin while also fortifying the skin’s barrier and diminishing redness. The inclusion of a Pepta-Panthenol Complex in the Laneige cream, along with cholesterol and fatty acids, works to further moisten the skin and reinforce the moisture barrier. Its indulgent texture feels sumptuous upon application yet is sufficiently lightweight to layer under additional skincare or makeup. Not only has Molly-Mae given her seal of approval, but numerous skincare enthusiasts are also singing praises on the Boots website. One satisfied customer commented: “Great everyday moisturiser and fab price. I’ve been using this during the day, it’s really hydrating on my skin and feels firmer with a natural glow. I love the packaging and application stick that comes in the box, easy application. I’ll be buying this again! Highly recommend.” One happy shopper said: “I work outdoors and have to say this cream is brilliant! I’m always sceptical of trying new skincare brands as I tend to get dry patches on my cheeks and forehead but with using this for the last several days I have only had to moisturise once in the am and again before bed! Kept my skin wonderfully moisturised and clear throughout the day. Lovely little pot which is refillable (bonus! ) and a handy little applicator plus you really do only need a small amount as it goes quite a long way! No breakouts as of yet and no clogged pores! Makeup goes on well over it as it almost doubles as a primer in my opinion!” The Laneige moisturiser sold out at Boots just days after its launch, but skincare fans can still find it at SpaceNK. One shopper raved: “I have an oily t zone and this product did not make my oil production worse. It is very hydrating, and dries in quite quickly, leaving no residue or stickiness. Can be layered with other serums and hyaluronic acids for times when you need extra hydration. I have purchased 2 bottles and will be a repeat customer of this wonder product.” Despite numerous positive reviews, Molly-Mae’s favourite moisturiser doesn’t seem to suit everyone. One disgruntled shopper claimed she experienced a breakout after using it, stating: “Purchased this moisturiser a few months ago as had heard good reviews. Unfortunately now that I have been using it a while I feel that it has broken my skin out. Lots of bumps under my skin which is not nice. This is the only change I made to my skincare routine so it feels like a likely culprit.” For those looking for a more budget-friendly option, another moisturiser in Molly-Mae’s collection is Aveeno’s Calm and Restore Oat Gel Moisturiser. Currently on offer at Boots for just £8.69, down from £11.59. This lightweight gel moisturiser promises to lock in moisture for 24 hours while being ‘very soothing’ and ‘hydrating on the skin’. It’s formulated with prebiotic oats and calming Feverfew, known for its antioxidant properties. Being fragrance-free and hypoallergenic, it’s perfect for anyone suffering from dry, sensitive skin. If you’re keen to give the Laneige cream a go, you can pick it up for £33.50 at Space NK or Cult Beauty.
