Students of an engineering college in Bihar’s Banka have alleged that a dead snake was found in food provided to them at the college canteen. According to the students, at least 10-15 of them were hospitalised after allegedly consuming the contaminated food.The students said that they developed symptoms like nausea and vomiting after eating food from the canteen on Thursday night. Later, a small dead snake was found in the food, which was provided by a private mess.The students were reportedly admitted to a nearby hospital and discharged later.According to the students, they had already complained to the college management regarding the quality of the food, but the situation remained the same.Following the incident, Banka’s District Magistrate Anshul Kumar, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), and the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) visited the college to investigate the matter.The Sub-Divisional Officer added that they have investigated the matter and a penalty has been imposed on the mess owner.”After explaining to the students, the food was prepared again.
