Taylor Swift fans were left fuming after they were denied entry to her show at Liverpool’s Anfield stadium despite forking out hundreds of pounds on tickets for the sell-out tour. Disappointed fans of the global superstar headed to the iconic stadium on Friday hoping to catch her Eras Tour after purchasing tickets only to find that they were turned away by security staff at the gates. One attendee shared her anger as she posted a video to her TikTok page explaining the situation. Gig-goers appeared to have been told that the issue was a glitch in the Ticketmaster system which meant tickets to the show had been oversold. Talking to the camera she said: “Just outside of the stadium and we’re not being let in because apparently Ticketmaster have sold double tickets. We’ve missed a lot of the first songs and there’s a lot of people ahead of us who’ve got the same issue who are crying right now. It is not good. What a joke.” The video showed the attendee those in front of and behind her suffering from the same issue which confirmed it wasn’t an isolated incident. She captioned her video: “Not being let in as Ticketmaster have royally messed up…” She then elaborated further in the comments section as she pointed out how upsetting the whole scenario was. She shared: “It was seeing the kids crying…it was utterly heartbreaking!” After fellow Taylor fans advised her to log out of her account then back in she then added: “Our seats had gone! They’ve totally double up on sales.” One fellow social media user then posted: “I was outside the stadium watching this happen. Honestly I’m so sorry this happened to u!” Then several other Taylor fans joined the comments section as they shared their own experiences. One said: “So I have 4 tickets and on my app 2 of those have the same seat number?” Another explained: “We had this issue. It said I had 8 tickets but only had 4 and one was already used! Luckily they let us in.” A third disgruntled concertgoer then offered: “I think it’s a problem with Ticketmaster right now. There are some of my events showing up as double tickets also.
