South Australian police have arrested six teenage boys and confiscated knives after an altercation outside of a Kilkenny shopping centre. Police said they were called to the centre this afternoon after the teenagers — aged between 13 and 16 years old — allegedly threatened a man outside of Arndale Shopping Centre on Torrens Road. Two of the teenagers were allegedly carrying knives at the time of the incident. One youth is also accused of throwing a rock that police said hit a person on the chin, causing minor injuries. Police said the youths dispersed after the altercation at the centre but were located by Western District officers on Humphries Terrace. The knives have been recovered and the youths are being interviewed by police officers. It is expected they will be charged with aggravated affray. Police said the arrested youths were a 14-year-old boy from Athol Park, a 14-year-old boy from Munno Para, a 16-year-old boy from Pennington, a 14-year-old boy from Munno Para West, and two boys, aged 14 and 13, from Mansfield Park.
