Coronation Street star Lisa George has been able to enjoy a much-welcomed reunion with her former co-star after ditching the UK. The actress revealed on social media that she has headed off on a summer break and has been sharing updates with her fans and followers. Lisa, who is known for playing Beth Sutherland in the ITV soap, confirmed on Instagram that she had jetted off to Venice and has since revealed that she is enjoying her stay with former Corrie co-star Katie McGlynn. It’s been several years since the pair were seen together on stage as aunt and niece, with Katie emotionally bowing out of the soap at the end of Sinead Osbourne’s cancer storyline after seven years of playing the character in 2020.

Lisa appeared delighted to be reunited with Katie and posed for a smiling selfie together as they took a break from exploring the Italian city. Sharing the snap to Instagram, Katie said: “Our Sinead and Auntie Beth… it’s like we’ve never been apart.” And friends, fans and followers of the pair were quick to respond. Corrie’s Sally Carman-Duttine wrote: “Pair of beauts.” Julia Goulding replied: “Gorgeous women.” Katie’s former TOWIE star boyfriend Ricky Rayment shared: “Looking gorgeous ladies..have funnn.” @barbarabeautique said: “Absolutely beautiful ladies.” @k.chandler1964 commented: “Lovely photo of you both.” @ourinvisiblydisabledfamily posted: “Still miss Sinead. What a beautiful photo of you both.” @clairehewick37 shared: “Awe miss Sinead why did they have too kill her off. Gorgeous ladies.” @franchescacroft added: “Beautiful ladies.”

It comes after Lisa said she’s ‘thrilled’ as she revealed she’s making a move away from the cobbles. This week, Lisa revealed she has bagged another role which will be very different to her alter-ego’s life in Weatherfield. She announced that this year, she’ll be taking part in panto. Lisa will be taking to the stage at Wyvern Theatre in Swindon as they bring a production of Cinderella to theatre-goers this coming festive season. Alongside a poster confirming her involvement, Lisa wrote on Instagram: “You SHALL go to the ball. I am thrilled to be starring in @wyverntheatre’s magical family pantomime **Cinderella** this festive season. Tickets available now, link in bio… I hope you will all come and join us for some festive family fun this Christmas.” And her fans and followers were quick to respond. @forrestjannett50 said: “Fantastic Lisa! Really pleased for you.” @nyealison commented: “Brilliant news, you will be amazing.” @amyforrest26 wrote: “Amazing Lisa!” @kevfight added: “Congratulations.”
