Numerous brawls and intense chaos engulfed Washington Square Park after New York City’s Pride Parade Sunday, shocking footage shows.
A video captured fistfights and hair-pulling as several troublemakers turned the packed park into a frightening scene – with police battling to control the unruly mob of revelers.
Meanwhile, groups of spectators watched on, and some even started recording the show-downs in Lower Manhattan.
At one point, two young men threw haymakers at each other before one took a tumble to the ground.
Seconds later, two women briefly took swings at each other while a couple bystanders attempted to break up that kerfuffle, a clip shows.

Furthermore, one woman, who appeared to be bleeding from her face with dried blood on her white shirt, attacked another person in another kerfuffle, with the crowds loudly cheering them on.
Other instances include one woman pushing another off the edge of the park’s landmark fountain, while another brawler yanked a woman in a pink shirt to the ground by her hair.
The young woman in pink continued to be dragged by her counterpart before others finally jumped in to help.
Before the rowdy scenes, New York City celebrated its 54th Pride Parade as thousands of revelers took part in the celebration of LGBTQ rights in Greenwich Village.
Protestors temporarily blocked the march before they were taken away by police.
Police arrested 22 people during the protest — 16 of whom were given desk appearance tickets and released while the other six remained in custody Sunday night.
The scenes come as multiple Pride flags at the Stonewall National Monument in New York City were destroyed in June – in what was considered as an apparent hate crime.
A representative from the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Public Information (DCPI) said the New York Police Department was notified on Friday morning that flags had been taken down from Christopher Park, which is a portion of the Stonewall National Monument.
An unidentified individual stole and damaged flags at the location on Thursday night before leaving, according to a preliminary inquiry, the DCPI said.
The representative reiterated that there have been no reported injuries or arrests, and the inquiry is still ongoing.

New York City Council Member Erik Bottcher posted images of the graffiti at the Stonewall National Monument, the first national monument honoring LGBTQ+ history, on the social networking platform X on Friday night.
The images display damaged and tossed Pride flags.
A number of the flags that usually encircle the monument were gone, and there were some charred remnants of Pride flags lying around the walkway.
In a post on Friday night on X, New York Mayor Eric Adams denounced the graffiti and stated that “hate has no place in our city, and nothing will change that. “We love the LGBTQ+ community and celebrate them during Pride and all year round. We’ll always have your back, and we will bring whoever defaced the Stonewall monument to justice,” Adams said.
June is LGBTQ Pride Month, and the Stonewall National Monument’s Pride flags were vandalized three times last year.
NBC News reports that during the past few weeks, there have been numerous attacks nationwide on Pride flags and symbols.
