People’s Inn Dumpling House
Perth
OK, so you’re going to have to order a side of dumplings, because how can you resist? But leave room for a giant bowl of their Sichuan Dan Dan. With homemade noodles, a tingle of Sichuan pepper, and a generous scattering of spring onions, this is the real deal.
806 Noodle House
East Victoria Park
Perth noodle connoisseurs will point you firmly in the direction of this Albany Highway institution, and with good reason. If you want that Sichuan spice and chewy noodle perfection, – get yourself down to 806.
Hot tip: you will never regret ordering a side of fried chicken.
Authentic Bites Dumpling House
Northbridge and Karrinyup
OK, so they call it “dry noodles with pork mince”, but to us that’s a Dan Dan. At any rate, it’s delicious, with an excellent nutty pork topping. Obviously the dumplings here are the stuff of legend, but don’t sleep on those noodles.
Munchy Monk
Northbridge
We love this hidden gem of a dumpling house, and its Dan Dan are the real deal with a sesame dressing, chilli oil with kick, and perfectly flavoured pork mince. They even have a vegan version with enoki mushrooms instead of pork.
China Tang
Crawley
Look, if Dan Dan with peanut paste instead of the traditional sesame is wrong, we don’t want to be right. That’s what you can get at this favourite haunt of many University of WA students and fans of its famous Dan Dan.
