Bruno Mars helped to open L.A.’s new Intuit Dome last week and the singer turned to a native Angeleno to help with his look for the night. Mars took the stage at the new venue sporting an exclusive look from AMIRI, the namesake luxury streetwear brand by designer Mike Amiri. Styled by Astrid Gallegos, Mars wore an AMIRI Vintage Pink Camp Shirt, a Burnt Orange Camp Shirt, and Black Pinstripe Creased Flare Trousers, as he performed before a sold-out crowd. Not only was the look custom selected for Mars, the singer was also the first to wear the pieces from AMIRI’s spring/summer 2025 collection, which just debuted at Paris Fashion Week in June. Mars tells Rolling Stone that he wanted to honor L.A. — and the new venue — by wearing something from a local designer. And who better to turn to than Amiri, whose clothing and accessories have been spotted on everyone from Justin Bieber and Maluma, to Post Malone and Beyonce. AMIRI (the label), is now sold everywhere from SSENSE to Saks Fifth Avenue and beyond. “Thank you Mike and the team for helping us show love to L.A. on opening night,” Mars says. “I am proud that Bruno Mars chose to exclusively wear Spring-Summer 2025 AMIRI for these unique concerts, celebrating both his talent and the opening of the new Intuit Dome in Los Angeles,” says Mike Amiri, in a release. “This city is our home, and artists like Bruno are always at the heart of our inspiration. For a season inspired by true music icons, it was an honor to dress one of the 21st century’s greatest, for a moment that will go down in history.” In addition to styling Mars, AMIRI pieces were also seen on his backing band, “The Hooligans,” who all wore the AMIRI Core Collection signature Kick Flare Trousers and Bowling Shirts to compliment the Grammy-winning artist. Mars and The Hooligans have always been known for their laidback, retro-inspired aesthetic, and Gallegos says the new AMIRI collection was the perfect compliment to their show-stopping performance. “For the Intuit show, it was a great chance to showcase Los Angeles, my hometown,” Gallegos tells Rolling Stone. “We wanted to spotlight an L.A. brand, and Amiri turned out to be the perfect choice for the moment and Bruno’s current style.” Mars’ Intuit Dome performance not only helped to open the new venue, which will be home to the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers — it also helped to kick off a new era of music for the singer, with Lady Gaga joining him on stage last week for the debut of their new single, “Die With a Smile.“
