Reality TV star Billie Shepherd has recounted the “terrifying” moment she had to rush her daughter Margot to the hospital after the 18-month-old suffered a febrile seizure. The reality TV star and mum-of-three, whose sister is former TOWIE star Sam Faiers, took to Instagram to share the harrowing experience, revealing that little Margot is now recovering from the scary episode that occurred on Monday, 30 September. On her Instagram Stories, the 34 year old Billie posted a picture of Margot, updating her followers about the toddler’s condition. “My little darling Margot,” she penned. “Yesterday Margot had another febrile seizure due to a high temperature it really is just so terrifying and upsetting but she is on the mend now.” This frightening incident comes only months after Billie disclosed that in March, she had to dial for an ambulance when Margot experienced a similar seizure. “One exhausted mumma. My little darling Margot has had a nasty virus, on Sunday Margot had a febrile seizure, it was the most terrifying moment of my life,” she shared previously. She explained that the seizure was triggered by a sudden rise in Margot’s body temperature, leaving her petrified and uncertain of what to do. Thankfully, after being checked at the hospital, Margot was okay. She mentioned that after speaking with several doctors, she learned that while these seizures are relatively common, they are not widely discussed. By sharing her ordeal, Billie hopes to encourage other parents to educate themselves on how to handle such situations. After educating her followers about febrile seizures, the TV star posted a link to the NHS page on the subject. The NHS explains that these seizures can sometimes happen when a child has a high fever, adding: “It’s not usually serious, but it’s important to get medical help if your child has a seizure.” Just last month, Billie opened up to OK! about motherhood and raising Margot along with her older siblings Nelly, 10, and Arthur, seven. “I think it’s fun watching their personalities develop, and how they are around other people always intrigues me. Nelly’s becoming like a real little young lady now, and I love watching her chat with adults and be confident,” she expressed. When quizzed about how she and husband Greg keep the romance alive amidst parenting duties, she responded: “I think it’s really important to have things to look forward to. I’m the organiser for life and kids, and Greg’s really good at planning dates and holidays. Even if it’s just a date night at a local restaurant, you do need that time, otherwise life becomes very repetitive.” Follow Mirror Celebs on TikTok, Snapchat , Instagram , Twitter , Facebook , YouTube and Threads
