Legendary Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak is gearing up for his last hurrah, and he’s bringing some friends with him.Though Ryan Seacrest has replaced Sajak, 77, as the host on the ongoing 42nd season of the original Wheel of Fortune, Sajak will appear on one more season of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, featuring an array of celebrities competing for a $1 million prize. The first group of celebrities was revealed in a report from Entertainment Weekly published Thursday, October 3.Rainn Wilson, Ellie Kemper, and Oscar Nuñez of The Office; Josh Gad, Justin Long, and Rachael Harris of New Girl; Sam Richardson, Randall Park, and Matt Walsh of Veep; and Tiffany Haddish and Regina Hall of Girls Trip and among the first round of celebrity contestants. Also joining the lineup are Joe Manganiello, Katharine McPhee, Andrew Rannells, and Cameron Brink. According to Entertainment Weekly, more guests will soon be announced.The famed host appeared on his final episode of Wheel of Fortune back in June. In an interview on Good Morning America, Sajak sat down with his daughter, Maggie, 29, where he expressed gratitude for more than four decades on the show.”Somewhere along the line, we became more than a popular show,” he said. “We became part of the popular culture. And more importantly, we became part of people’s lives. And, that’s been awfully gratifying.”Now, Maggie is carrying on her father’s legacy, as she serves as Wheel of Fortune’s social media correspondent.Upon Pat’s return for his final season of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, he will be joined by Vanna White, his Wheel of Fortune co-host of more than three decades.Celebrity Wheel of Fortune premieres Monday, Oct. 14, at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
