In celebration of National Book Month, “BookTok” beloved best-selling author Lucy Score has teamed up with Club Crackers to design a vacation rental inspired by her mystery-romance Riley Thorn book series.
The home, located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, both Score and the fictional Thorn’s home town, is the perfect base for book lovers to come together to immerse themselves in their favorite novels through creative design, immersive experiences, and hidden Easter eggs.
Bookable throughout select weekends in October, guests can enjoy a cozy stay in character-themed rooms complete with experiences that nod to Score’s series, including book-inspired charcuterie boards, tarot card readings, a dreamy bedroom and a fully stocked wine fridge. An included Score-written itinerary will also inspire a fun-filled weekend that mirrors certain scenes in the novels — from Thorn’s donut picnic at Italian Lake to romantic moments on Walnut Street Bridge.

“I had an absolute blast creating experiences inspired by the lighthearted, mysterious fun of the Riley Thorn series and the delicious flavor of Club Crackers to help book clubs have an adventure in Harrisburg just like Riley and her quirky crew,” said Lucy Score, author of the Riley Thorn series, in a press release. “It gives me so much joy to see this series bringing people together, from the #BookTok comments sections to book club hangouts, and now with the Book CLUB House.”
The historic four bedroom, four bathroom mansion sleeps up to eight guests. Located on the riverfront, the home is designed with a rustic farmhouse-chic finish to create a cozy, rustic escape.
Score first announced the news of the partnership via Instagram on Sept. 30, with fans sharing their excitement in the comments.
“I’M OBSESSED WITH THIS MY FAVORITE SERIES,” one person wrote. “Wow!! That is super cool!!” a second commented, while a third said, “So much fun! Look how awesome the house is!”
Fans have the opportunity to request to book one of three free two-night stays at the Book CLUB House, with the third and final weekend bookable for a 24-hour booking beginning Mon., Oct. 14 at 10 a.m. ET and ending Tues., Oct. 15 at 10 a.m. ET.
Fans can book the third weekend getaway beginning Oct. 14.

A television series in the works
In December 2023, Deadline announced that Score’s number one New York Times best-selling novel “Things We Never Got Over” was in development by Amazon MGM Studios, with Echo and Jane The Virgin writer Amy Rardin serving as Executive Producer and Showrunner.
“Things We Never Got Over” is the first book in Score’s Knockemount trilogy series. The novel follows protagonist Naomi Witt, a runaway bride who returns to the fictional Knockemount, a small Virginia town, where she finds herself with a long-lost niece to take care of and a grumpy-yet-handsome local who she finds herself turning to.
“When I started writing [“Things We Never Got Over”], I didn’t know what it was about,” Score told Deadline in September 2024. “I was like, ‘Okay, it’s this grumpy hero and this opposites attract heroine who shows up in town. I thought that’s what the story was about, but right before I started with writing, one of my dear friends passed away very suddenly, and I struggled writing the book. I kept trying to just chip away at it, and something wasn’t working. Eventually I realized I was writing through my own grief, and once I accepted that, then the story really came together. ‘Things’ is still a rom com, it’s still love story, but underneath it is a theme of how brave it is to love someone when you know you’re gonna lose them.”
