Megan Thee Stallion is officially getting the documentary treatment — and it’s coming sooner than you think.

Today, Oct. 14, the Houston rapper announced the official poster and release date for her forthcoming documentary, Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Eyes, for Amazon MGM Studios. The film tapped director Nneka Onuorah, who received a 2022 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing for a Reality Program for her work on Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls.

Audiences will get an “unprecedented” look into the “Mamushi” rapper’s life as she tells her story on her terms. The documentary’s full synopsis reads, “Follow the Houston native’s journey on the road to stardom as she tenaciously navigates fame, grief, pressure and success. The documentary unpacks Megan’s most vulnerable moments in a powerful way that allows fans to meet the real Megan Pete.”

Megan shared the poster on her official Instagram account, writing in the caption, “Hotties my documentary is out Oct 31st 💜 I’m nervous and excited for yall to see it butttt it’s finally here.”

The 29-year-old rapper’s feature-length documentary comes off the heels of her self-titled third studio album, MEGAN. After departing from her former labels 1501 Entertainment and 300 Entertainment in 2023, Megan released the album via her new independent label, Hot Girl Productions.

The album peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and spawned the reptile-themed trio of singles, “Cobra,” “Hiss” and “Boa,” and the bilingual collaboration with Japanese rapper Yuki Chiba, “Mamushi.” Megan embarked on a North American tour with support from Erica Banks and GloRilla.

After inking a partnership with Pepsi for the 2024-2025 NFL season with a star-studded commercial featuring Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs player couldn’t contain his excitement. “I’m so grateful to Pepsi for asking me to be a part of it,” Kelce said in a TikTok. “Just getting the thumbs up that I could handle the load of being a gladiator, I guess.”

Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words arrives on Prime Video on Oct. 31.
