Coronation Street fans can expect all kinds of drama, twists and hints of what’s ahead on the ITV soap next week.

There’s more from Joel Deering’s murder storyline, with people hiding their true whereabouts on the night he was killed. Not only that but a major clue could finally give away who caused his death.

Joel aside there’s the truth about who stole Damon Hay’s cash continuing to unfold amid a dramatic hospital dash for soap legend Gail Platt. As her family wait for news on her condition amid fears she will be killed off, we will learn her fate.

But when the family are rocked by an announcement from her love interest Jesse Chadwick, what will happen? Also there’s trouble for DS Swain as her injury causes a bombshell to be revealed.

Kit Green is up to no good, and makes a move on Daisy Midgeley, there’s concern for Ken Barlow and a possible rekindling of a romance. If that wasn’t all exciting enough there’s an extra episode next week!

Let’s kick things off with Gail who is rushed to hospital this week with a suspected heart attack. When she struggles to breathe, Jesse calls for an ambulance and it’s teased she could die.

She makes it to the hospital but there is no further news about how she is. Her worried family gathers around her bedside, and soon Jesse is left making a huge announcement that shocks them all.

Also with Jesse he is finally cleared of stealing Damon Hay’s cash after being accused recently. Damon manages to set up someone to take the fall while more than one resident remain unsure who the real culprit is.

Jesse is sure he knows the truth though after a discovery at Gail’s home before hospital dash. He soon confronts David next week about what he knows, but will the truth come out?

This seems to be it for Damon as he vows never to contact Sarah again. Meanwhile Gail’s other son Nick Tilsley confesses he still loves Toyah Battersby after their affair, with Nick cheating on wife Leanne Battersby with her own sister.

Bethany Platt is uncomfortable when partner Daniel Osbourne sees her stoma bag for the first time, while Kit betrays Ryan Connor and pursues Daisy. Cassie Plummer finds herself accused of trying to get her hands on Ken’s money again as he continues to spend it on her.

Amid sparks flying with Steve McDonald, and the pair sleeping together, Steve is worried when Adam Barlow tells him how much Ken is paying to fund his and Cassie’s lavish lifestyle. Also next week Mason Radcliffe saves Liam Connor, and Kit is convinced Dee-Dee Bailey is Joel’s killer.

Soon enough, there’s a major clue as to who murdered him – or at least it could lead police to the killer. DS Swain’s injury is rumbled, and soon it’s teased it could be linked to Joel as she got the injuries the night he died.

That said, Swain is stunned to realise a damaged car she is investigating was actually hit by a red vehicle. When Swain finds out Ronnie’s red car was in for repair and tackles him in The Rovers.

Carla Connor is hiding something about that night too, while she’s also left deflated during a moment with Lisa amid romance hopes from fans. Carla is praising Lisa for her work and juggling motherhood but when Swain’s injury bothers her and she flees, Carla is left gutted.

Betsy Swain is worried about her mum and makes some discoveries on her own. But the thing that could lead to Joel’s killer being exposed is a realisation from Swain.

She tells colleague Kit that if Joel has been planning to go on the run that night, then surely he would have had some personal belongings with him. With these belongings missing, she believes that if they find them it could lead them to his killer. So does this rule out some suspects?
