When it comes to style, we are all inspired by what we see; whether it be a well-dressed celebrity, a blow-your-mind catwalk presentation or even a fashionable passerby.
As fashion editors, we’re moved by all of the above, and then some. We’re exposed to under-the-radar labels; we get a first-hand look at collections months before they hit stores; we attend VIP events; we’re tapped into brands with chic-yet-cheap offerings and we shop — a lot.
To share our knowledge, FEMAIL brings you Style Swoon, a weekly series of the latest, greatest and on the verge. We hope this series will serve as a buying guide and point of inspiration for all.

STAR-STUDDED PARTY
On Thursday, November 7th, visionary photographer, Mathieu Bitton, celebrated the release of his coffee-table book and the second showcasing of his acclaimed exhibition, Paris Blues: Decades of Moments and Reflections.
Mathieu hosted an exclusive dinner at French-inspired restaurant, Le Coin, followed by a celeb-packed afterparty at Seven24 Collective’s members-only speakeasy, DIMES, located within Gansevoort Meatpacking.
Mathieu was joined by legendary comedians Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Jeff Ross, and Michael Che, as well as French actress Pom Klementieff.
Guests enjoyed the restaurant’s elevated French dishes and artful ambiance, featuring shoppable photography curated by Leica Gallery’s Paris Chong, including several pieces by Mathieu.
Executive Chef Sebastien Chaoui created a spectacular menu which included Carpaccio de Thon (Yellowfin tuna, fennel pollen, citrus emulsion, and rhubarb tuille), Hachis Parmentier de Canard (a Shepherd’s pie with pulled duck leg confit, mashed potato and shaved truffle) and L’Entrecôte (a 12 oz. USDA Prime New York Strip with bordelaise, potato gratin, and bone marrow).
“Paris Blues: Decades of Moments and Reflections,” is located at The Leica Store & Gallery New York, and is running through December 30th at the prestigious Meatpacking District space.
The after-party took place at DIMES, the 70’s-inspired speakeasy at exclusive members-only club, Seven24 Collective, located within the Gansevoort hotel.
Guests enjoyed a live DJ set along with drinks, dancing, karaoke, and bowling.
Chappelle and Bitton coincidentally sparked a friendship at The Gansevoort, when they first met at an intimate Prince concert on the Gansevoort Rooftop in October 2008.
Working closely together for many years now, Bitton is one of the producers of Dave Chappelle’s latest Netflix comedy album The Dreamer, which was just nominated for a Grammy Award.
