LEH, Nov 9: Hyundai Motor India Foundation, the CSR arm of Hyundai Motor India Limited today inaugurated 5 new telemedicine centres under its Sparsh Sanjeevani healthcare initiative at high-altitude regions of Ladakh and Jammu & Kashmir.
The 4 centres were inaugurated at Kargil, Drass, Leh and Kharu in Ladakh and one at Bhalla in J&K. The centres will provide vital healthcare services, enhancing the connection between healthcare providers and underserved communities in rural and remote areas across Ladakh and J&K.
Puneet Anand, Vertical Head Corporate Communication & Social Hyundai Motor India said, “Access to quality healthcare is essential for the well-being and progress of every community. Through Foundation’s Sparsh Sanjeevani program, we are committed to Hyundai’s global vision of ‘Progress for Humanity,’ working to reach communities in remote regions with primary healthcare services. By expanding into Ladakh and J&K, these new centres will ensure essential health consultations to populations residing in some of the country’s most rugged landscapes.”
Tundup Nurbu, Councillor Phyang constituency, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Council Leh while expressing his admiration for the effort said that these telemedicine centres represent a meaningful step towards addressing the healthcare needs of people in rural and mountainous areas, bringing medical services closer to those who might otherwise face significant challenges. This initiative holds great promise for improving health and quality of life across the region of Ladakh and J&K, he asserted.
