Children in Need host and comedian Chris Ramsey has been with his wife Rosie for 12 years. The dynamic couple behind the hit podcast Sh**ged Married Annoyed, have turned their marital squabbles into a winning formula.

The pair, both aged 38, first crossed paths when they were 14 and attending the same college. But Chris admitted they barely spoke and he thought Rosie was ‘out of his league’.

They only got together when they met in a local nightclub in 2012. At the time, Chris was making waves in stand-up comedy, while Rosie pursued her passion for singing with a girl group, also having experience as a Pontins Bluecoat, cabaret performer, and radio DJ.

Now parents to Robin, eight, and Rafe, two, it’s believed their combined riches could be somewhere in the region of £5-10 million, a figure reported by Otakukart.com, though these claims have not been officially corroborated. Their residence, an opulent £1.5 million estate situated in a picturesque village close to their native South Shields, comes complete with six bedrooms, magnificent grounds, and even its own library.

Yet, they don’t claim that their lives are without flaws. Chatting to the Mirror, Rosie opened up: “We are a normal couple who argue and fight and that’s life. We live in a world of social media where people only put their highlights reels out and you think how perfect is that. Listeners say they have started airing their grievances in a funny, honest way with their partner and I think that’s a really healthy thing to do.”

Their journey hasn’t been all smiles and chuckles, as they’ve encountered some truly challenging chapters together. In August 2018, they shared the agonising news that Rosie had experienced a devastating miscarriage.

On Instagram, Chris lauded his wife as a ‘warrior’, while Rosie described the painful event: “When we went for our 12 week scan our baby could not be found. He or she had passed early on in the pregnancy leaving behind the pregnancy sac, this is called a Blighted Ovum. (missed miscarriage).”

She went on to say: “Unfortunately it didn’t all end there as we were told I still needed to have a miscarriage to rid my body of the sac, placenta etc. I was admitted into hospital a few days later to start the procedure. It was awful. Cramping, vomiting, fainting, fever, really just not nice.”

Rosie praised their eldest son Robin, describing him as “wonderful” and expressing gratitude for his presence in their lives, saying “we feel so blessed to have him in our lives”. The couple welcomed their son Rafe in 2021.
