She has long been considered a member of TV royalty with her involvement in hugely popular shows, such as US drama Mad Men.
And it seems Christina Hendricks has developed a keen interest in the British monarchy – taking in the delights of the late Queen’s Scottish home Balmoral.
The actress, 49, has been filming for months in Scotland for her role in Apple TV period drama The Buccaneers.
However, during a well-deserved day off she posted a photo outside the Royal residence after enjoying a tour there.
Alongside the image, she wrote: ‘There’s magic in the air.’
The picture shows a smiling Ms Hendricks posing outside the Royal home wearing a baseball cap and large sunglasses – perhaps to try and maintain a low profile.
It seems the actress can’t get enough of the venue having visited it before during a previous trip to Scotland.
Hendricks’ visit comes after Balmoral was opened up to the public during the summer for the first time in more than 170 years.

People have been able to take a guided tours of a number of rooms in the Aberdeenshire castle, such as the entrance hall, red corridor, main and family dining rooms, page’s lobby, library and drawing room.
Tickets for the guided tours – priced at £100 or £150 with afternoon tea – sold out within 24 hours of going on sale, with 40 people a day allowed to visit from 1 July to 4 August.
This month people have been enjoying more lavish affairs at the castle with £250 tickets for a guided tour followed by a seven-course meal, paired with wine.
The normal adult admission to Balmoral is £17.50 – but that excludes the interior tour.
However, its grounds are open to the public for free this winter.
It costs about £3million a year to run Balmoral and half of that comes from tourist-related revenue.
The King and Queen Camilla usually stay at Birkhall on the estate – their favourite home, and where they honeymooned and have celebrated nearly every wedding anniversary.
Hendricks’ latest project – The Buccaneers – follows a group of young American women in the 1870s as they are sent to London to find husbands and titles, and hilarious culture clashes ensue.
Scenes have been filmed at Glasgow’s Mitchell Library, which doubles as a US courthouse.
Horses and carriages, as well as historical street signs and postboxes, were all brought in to transform the city street into a 19th Century American scene. Extras were also seen wearing clothes from the late 1800s.
Culzean Castle in Ayrshire, Hopetoun House near South Queensferry and Drumlanrig Castle in Dumfriesshire have also featured in the period drama.
Ms Hendricks, who plays Mrs Patricia St George in the drama series, is no stranger to prominent TV appearances.
Her most famous role saw her play Joan Harris in the US series Mad Men alongside Jon Hamm.
