Another disturbing instance showed a woman with a morphed face of Alia Bhatt making obscene gestures. The government has imposed strict penalties for creating and distributing deepfakes, including a fine of Rs 1 lakh and up to three years in jail.PM Modi has also raised red flag over the misuse of deepfake technology.
