Real life brothers Ayushmann Khurrana and Aparshakti Khurana have many things in common but the spelling of their surname. The actors, who were born and brought in Chandigarh and are both established names in the film industry, have different spelling of the surname-the former has double R- and the reason, Aparshakti reveals, has nothing to do with finding success in Bollywood. Ayushmann made his film debut with Vicky Donor in 2012 while Aparshakti broke out with Aamir Khan starrer Dangal in 2015. The difference in the letters of their surname dates back to what their astrologer father’s guruji had decided, Aparshakti said. In a chat with Cyrus Says, when asked why did he not add letters to his name like his brother, Aparshakti explained, “The double R in Ayush bhaiyaa’s Khurrana and the single R in mine, my father’s guruji did that when we were born! That is it. It wasn’t done later. It is just by chance. Mumma and I have a single R, father and bhaiya have a double R. Simple. It has got nothing to do with Bollywood.” When Cyrus Broacha noted that many people change names after getting successful in the industry and then stick to it, Aparshakti quipped, “If that was the case then he would have added triple R after the success of RRR!” The actor also opened up about a possible union of the brothers on-screen. Aparshakti said the two can come together for a film, only if it is something like the iconic Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. The kind of space we both have. He has had a tremendous growth and graph in his space and I have a gradual graph in a different journey. So for us to come together, the script has to be really special. Maybe something like a Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. If there is a remake. I am not saying a remake exactly, but a film which is very pure, organic, something with music or sports,” he added.
