One of Strictly Come Dancing’s much-loved stars faced a ‘personal insult’ during the latest live show as their time in the competition could be in ‘trouble’.
Gorka Marquez is thought to have taken comments about his and Dr Punam Krishan’s performance in the iconic ballroom personally, if his body language on the live show is anything to go by.
The dancer is currently taking part in the BBC One dance contest alongside Morning Live’s Dr Punam Krishan. They were riding high as they headed into week four of the competition following their incredible Bollywood-themed routine as they made history with their couple’s choice routine.

Then last Saturday night (October 12), Punam once again gave it everything she has got and she and Gorka danced to 2 Be Loved (Am I Ready) by Lizzo.
Unfortunately, the practising GP and her Spanish dance partner didn’t manage to impress the judges as much as last week after mistakes were spotted, leaving them receiving a total of 20 points out of a possible 40 from the judges.
On behalf of Betfair Casino, body language and behavioural expert Darren Stanton has revealed that Dr Punam’s pro partner Gorkaz took criticism of their routine ‘personal’, while the TV doctor is starting to ‘flash fear’ and show ‘nerves’ more often.
Speaking about the pair, Darren said: “With Gorka and Punam, we could see them in trouble this weekend. On Saturday night, Gorka didn’t like it when Craig said the routine was ‘sloppy’, he took it as an insult and flashed an expression of contempt. He also voiced how he felt, and said, ‘she’s a GP, not a dancer’, defending the comments.”
He added: “Punam has been super confident from the outset, but I feel in the last week or so, we’ve seen a decrease in illustrators e.g. her facial expressions. She flashes fear and nerves quite a lot, more so in the last couple of weeks, meaning she’s become less confident in what she’s doing, and shows an internal feeling that she knows she will struggle. There are definitely some nerves there.”
It comes after Gorka quickly leapt to the defence of his partner, insisting: “She’s a GP. She doesn’t do anything to do with performing!” during the live show as both Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas agreed that there were ‘a lot of mistakes’ in Punam’s routine.
