It is June 16 today, and the entire world including Bollywood is celebrating Father’s Day. While we have many young dads in B-town, there have been recent additions such as actors Varun Dhawan, Ram Charan and filmmaker Aditya Dhar. Meanwhile, actors like Ranveer Singh and Ali Fazal are also expecting their first babies this year. Celebrating the occasion, let us take a look at how the new and young dads of Bollywood are embracing their special journey. Varun Dhawan Varun Dhawan, who welcomed a baby girl with his wife Natasha Dalal a few weeks ago, always wanted a baby girl. During his appearance on Koffee With Karan season 5, in the rapid fire round, Varun was asked “What do the following have that you don’t?” When Karan mentioned Shahid, the actor mentioned, “He has a baby girl. I don’t want his baby girl. I want my own.” He then also spoke about having a child of his own and said, “I do wanna get married. I wanna have babies, actually. I want to have a child. I love children, and I wanna have my own little one.” The actor, who is currently enjoying fatherhood, is yet to share his experience. Aditya Dhar The second in the list is Aditya Dhar. The Uri filmmaker, who is married to Bollywood actress Yami Gautam, recently welcomed a baby boy – Vedavid. Although, the filmmaker hasn’t commented on parenthood after the arrival of their baby, he was already a doting father to his unborn child. In an interview with The Times of India, Yami revealed Aditya was a supporting partner throughout and he got her Amar Chitra Katha and Ramayana to read out to the baby, just like Yami’s mother did when she was expecting the actress. Ram Charan Ram Charan, who became a global sensation after the release of his film RRR, too embraced fatherhood in June last year. Charan, who was married to Upasana since 2012, welcomed his first child with his wife after 11 years of marriage. Talking about Ram’s love for his daughter Klin, Upasana said the RRR actor’s loving attention and active participation in raising Klin has enriched the phase for her. She revealed, “Klin’s eating habits mirror Mr C. She’s a true Konidela.” In the same interview, Upasana also revealed that both she and Ram Charan cry more than their daughter when they have to leave her at home to attend work commitments. Ranbir Kapoor Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who welcomed their baby girl in 2022, recently revealed the face of their daughter to the world. Ever since, Ranbir is often spotted carrying his baby girl on several occasions and playing with her. The actor also got a tattoo of his daughter’s name on his collarbone, which he often flaunts online. During an interview with BBC, Ranbir expressed his love for his daughter and said, “Nothing matters anymore, and everything does, at the same time. I am scared to even talk about it, because it fills you up so much. You have this fear: will this go away? But in the back of my mind I know this is the one thing which will live with me eternally till the day I die. The amount of love, joy and gratefulness that I feel, I haven’t felt that towards anything, any person, any movie, anything professionally.” Karan Singh Grover Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover also embraced parenthood last year. They have named their daughter Devi. The couple often shares videos and photos of them spending some precious moments with their daughter with Karan taking an active participation throughout. Speaking about embracing fatherhood, Karan had penned a note on his Instagram, where he wrote, “It’s a combination of numerous feelings. All new but somehow familiar…not familiar like I’ve done this before but more like I’ve felt this in my most precious, most beautiful dream, like almost embedded into my DNA. A feeling so intense that I haven’t brought to the external surface of my being because I was afraid that I would explode into fireworks made of joy.” Ranveer Singh Ranveer Singh, who is expecting his first child with wife and actress Deepika Padukone, had also reacted to the feeling of a soon-to-be father. During Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding bash in Jamnagar, Ranveer before taking the stage spoke to the crowd and said, “You got the girl of your dreams, and I am glad that I was able to help. It obviously worked because here we are seven years later, Anant Aur Radhika ki shaadi ho rahi hai. mera bachcha ho raha hai. matlab kya hi ho raha hai.” Ali Fazal Similarly, Ali Fazal, who too is expecting his first child with his wife and actress Richa Chadha, in an interview with Times Entertainment said the feeling was “difficult to express in words”. He said he is both excited and nervous for the baby. As would-be parents, Richa and he are hoping for the best. The actor who was truly grateful, said, he will try to be the better version of himself as a father. “I have a lot of empathy, I listen, that has helped me a lot with my wife (laughs),” said the actor.
