Actors Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are all set to tie the knot soon, and while Sonakshi’s father Shatrughan Sinha has stayed away from confirming the wedding, yesteryear actor Poonam Dhillon recently revealed that she has received an invitation. Poonam gave her blessings to the couple in a recent interview, and said that Sonakshi and Zaheer had sent her a wonderful invitation. Talking to Instant Bollywood, Poonam said, “I wish Sonakshi all the very best. She has sent a lovely invitation. I have known her since she was a little girl. I have seen her entire journey. I pray to God she stays happy. She is a lovely warm very loving girl. So I wish her all the joy and happiness.” Poonam then looked at the camera and shared with a smile, “Please keep her happy, Zaheer. She is a lovely girl. The couple is celebrating their union on June 23 in Mumbai. A friend of the couple previously shared with indianexpress.com, “From what I know, they may have already had a registered wedding, or may do so on the morning of June 23. But there’s not going to be any elaborative wedding as such, just a party.” In the digital invitation, which has a voice note by Sonakshi and Zaheer, the couple said that they had been together for seven years and shared, “We are making it official finally.” Sonakshi’s family members, however, have not confirmed her wedding as of now. Her father Shatrughan Sinha previously told The Times of India that Sonakshi has ” the right to choose her companion” and he made it clear that he was “neither confirming nor denying” the news of her wedding. He also said that if his daughter is getting married, then he would support her decision. Earlier, her brother Luv Sinha had also said that he didn’t know anything about the wedding. Talking to ETimes, he said that he had “no involvement in the matter.”
