Tabu and Ajay Devgn are reuniting for Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha after delivering hits like Drishyam, Drishyam 2 and De De Pyaar De among others. In the Neeraj Pandey directorial the two stars, both in their fifties, feature as romantic leads, a rare phenomenon in Bollywood as most romantic films here tell love stories that require casting of younger actors. When asked if she feels that it is a refreshing change to see her and Ajay do a romantic film in this phase of their lives, Tabu said, “I want to thank Neeraj for this. It feels great. Romance does not only belong to the young or a certain age group. I don’t think there is any barrier when you talk about romance, love and relationships. Actually the film is more about a relationship than love and romance I feel. And human relationships are the most interesting thing that have lent themselves to cinema. Love and romance is a part of human relationships. It is the most beautiful thing to explore for a filmmaker, also because there is no end to where you can take that relationship.” Ajay Devgn, on the other hand, said, “Any kind of feeling becomes deeper as you grow. People start thinking and feeling deeper, whether it’s positive or negative. So you analyse a lot of things, which you don’t do till you are of a certain age, when there’s childishness. Once that goes away, you start seeing the actual feelings.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Tabu (@tabutiful) Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is Tabu’s second film this year after she starred in Crew with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon. The movie received positive reviews and went on to become a commercial success, grossing over Rs 157 crore globally. At the event, Tabu was asked if producers will now be encouraged to cast top female stars together and will it also also give courage to actresses to headline such projects. Before Tabu could answer, Ajay said, “There is no such thing as courage. Everybody is doing it already. Films keep coming where women take the lead. It has got nothing to do with courage. It just depends on a good script. If there is a good story with a strong female lead, they make it.” Tabu added, “You should ask the question to producers. I can’t dictate what kind of film we will make in the industry. There are many factors and the producers have to take the final decision. How it will unfold I have no idea because I have seen many of these folding and unfolding over the years.”
