With thousands upon thousands of people enjoying sunny weather and a great line-up of music at Glastonbury Festival, it is easy to feel like you’re missing out — so here’s the other festivals coming up this summer. Summer feels as if it has finally arrived in the UK, with many parts of the country reaching record high temperatures. With more and more pictures emerging of festival goers enjoying the heat and dancing to some great artists whilst others are stuck in offices, there are so many other festivals this summer that you could enjoy.

BST Hyde Park

Having originally started in June 2013, this relatively new festival sees multiple weekends of musical celebrations. BST features an array of genres and headliners, as well as supporting rising stars. Also, what makes the festival so unique is that during the week, it runs a free programme called Open House, which features free activities and entertainment. For 2024, artists include SZA, Kings of Leon, Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue. Some days still have tickets available, with prices ranging depending on the artist.

TRNSMT Festival

Great for those who aren’t a fan of camping, TRNSMT Festival is a non-camping based festival featuring four stages, over 50 food traders, 20 bars and a variety of funfair rides. The festival also has earnt a gold standard for accessibility and is open to 11pm on each day it runs. Key artists performing include Calvin Harris and Example.

Where: Glasgow Green, Scotland

Wireless Festival

Another London based festival is Wireless Festival which is the UK’s biggest festival for rap and hip-hop music. With trailblazing female artists Nicki Minaj and Doja Cat headlining, Wireless is set to offer a great party vibe in the peak of Summer.

Wilderness

Wilderness is great for families, or an group trip alike. For four days, ticketholders can enjoy a range of activities in addition to music, all with nature as a backdrop. There are also workshops available to book with famous chefs such as Richard Corrigan and Andi Oliver. From music and workshops to wellbeing classes and comedy there is something for everyone. Also, British favourite Claudia Winkleman is making an appearance, as well as Joel Dommett and Rosie Jones.

When: August 1-4
Where: Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire

Reading/Leeds

Toward the end of summer, and during peak school summer holidays, are Reading and Leeds festivals. With the same line up at both, it is the perfect opportunity to see some of your favourite artists at the location nearest to you. This year headliners include Liam Gallagher, Lana Del Rey and Fred Again and the most decorated Brit Awards winner in a single ceremony, Raye.

When: August 21-24
Where: Richfield Avenue, Reading/Braham Park, Leeds

Latitude

Latitude offers an array of appeals in addition to music from great artists. Whilst musicians performing include Bradley Simpson (from The Vamps), Kasabian and Duran Duran, Latitude also boasts an impressive comedy line up which includes Sara Pascoe and Jo Brand.

Boardmasters

This years Boardmasters as a-list line up with some of Britain’s biggest and most loved artists. From Sam Fender and Stormzy, to leading female artists such as Cat Burns, Becky Hill and Kate Nash, Boardmasters offers a great array of summer hits to dance and sing along to. Unique to this festival is also the surfing that takes place. Due to its location
