Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle will turn 43 on August 4, and it’s possible that King Charles and Queen Camilla will reach out to the Duchess of Sussex to wish her a happy birthday. Grant Harrold, the former royal butler, speaking on behalf of Slingo, believes that despite recent events, the King and Queen will still send birthday messages, whether electronically or through traditional mail. “Harry will make sure that Meghan is celebrated,” OK Magazine quoted Harrold.
In the past, the royals acknowledged the Duchess of Sussex’s birthday on X, but in recent years, the official royals account has only highlighted working royals. While Harrold thinks Charles and Camilla will recognise Meghan’s special day, he’s unsure if they’ll send a gift. “If they were all still getting on, I can imagine it would be a piece of jewellery or something from the royal collection, possibly a hand-me-down from the late Queen,” Harrold added.
Apart from Meghan’s upcoming birthday, a source claimed that her life changed significantly when she joined the royal family. An insider told an outlet that Harry is aware of how much Meghan gave up to adjust to being a working duchess. “Harry often feels guilty for Meghan having to give up on her dream life, and he knows how much she sacrificed to marry him and have a family with him, so he will support her no matter what,” the insider said.
The source also mentioned that Meghan misses her carefree life as an actress, even though she wouldn’t change what she has with Harry and their children. Meghan retired from acting in 2017 to become a working royal, but she is now back in Hollywood as a producer. “She has quite a few work commitments coming up but this is just the beginning of Meghan’s big comeback, and she’ll be doing things on her terms,” a source explained. The source also shared that Meghan loved being in Suits and the opportunities it provided, as there was less scrutiny and pressure on her at the time.
