Nicola spent nine years with her dog, Nala (Picture: Instagram @nicolaannepeltzbeckham) Billionaire heiress Nicola Peltz Beckham has opened up about the ‘hardest month of her life’ following the death of her beloved dog. Nicola, 29, who is married to Brooklyn Beckham, 25, took to Instagram this weekend where she revealed her pet chihuahua Nala tragically died after being rushed to the vet. Nala’s death comes just one month after Nicola lost her grandmother, Bunny, who died at age 95. Her cause of death has not yet been revealed. Posting to her social media account, Nicola opened up about the effect the double loss has had on her, admitting she is struggling to find words to describe her ‘heartbreak’. ‘This has been the hardest month of my life. I can’t even find the words to describe my heartbreak on so many levels,’ she said. Nicola explained that Nala was ‘perfectly healthy when she went to the groomers yesterday but came out hyperventilating and couldn’t catch her breath’. Nicola would often share pictures with her beloved dog (Picture: Instagram / @nicolaannepeltzbeckham) Brooklyn shared his own heartbreak after the tragic loss of Nala (Picture: Instagram / @nicolaannepeltzbeckham) ‘We rushed her to the vet and she passed hours later, her life was taken away from her way too soon. She was my beautiful queen and stayed by my side for 9 years through everything,’ she continued. ‘1 day without Nala on earth feels like an eternity. I wish I could have her back in my arms. I pray she’s with my Naunni. I hope I see them soon.’ Elsewhere, Brooklyn, the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, made a post in which he called their pet the ‘cutest little baby girl’ and said that the couple ‘miss you beyond’. Nicola and Brooklyn also share a puppy named Lamb. The death of the dog comes after the American actress said goodbye to her grandmother, who served as her maid of honour at her and Brooklyn’s wedding in 2022. Nala was a chihuahua (Picture: Instagram / @nicolaannepeltzbeckham) She spoke to People shortly after her special day, revealing that her grandmother helped calm her down when her emotions were at an all-time high. ‘My Nani was my maid of honour. I remember… I get really nervous talking in front of people or in front of crowds, so I was nervous about that,’ she said. ‘But right before I walked down the aisle with my dad, I heard everyone clapping and cheering. It was because my Nani had her flowers, and she was dancing down the aisle, and that makes me so happy.’ Following Bunny’s death, Nicola shared an emotional tribute with her 3.1million Instagram followers, saying, ‘I feel like I will never have the right words because I just don’t believe you’re gone.’ She continued to say she wishes Bunny had ‘stayed with me longer’ so that she could have met Nicola’s future kids, watched films she is yet to make and simply hug and talk to her each day. I’m so lucky you were my Naunni. You raised the most perfect daughter that I’m lucky enough to call my mom which is my biggest gift in life.’ In the comments underneath the post, Nicola’s mother-in-law, Victoria Beckham, wrote: ‘Nicola we all feel so blessed to have loved naunni. We are so sorry for your loss and send you love and light at this difficult time. We love you so much.’ ‘I love you angel. I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m so lucky to have met her and be around her precious spirit,’ commented singer, actress and friend Selena Gomez. Nicola and Brooklyn wed in April 2022 at her father, Nelson Peltz’s $103m property in Palm Beach, Florida. It was a star-studded event, and many A-listers attended, including David and Victoria, Eva Longoria, and Serena Williams. Got a story?
