Leigh-Anne Pinnock Opens Up About Her Romance
Former Little Mix sensation Leigh-Anne Pinnock has candidly opened up about the rocky start to her romance with football ace Andre Gray, revealing he “broke her heart”. In a raw TikTok clip shared by Dose of Society, the 32-year-old pop star got real about what she took away from her last heartache.
“I learnt the power of forgiveness,” Leigh-Anne confessed to the interviewer, revealing she is still with the very man who shattered her heart, hinting at her footballer hubby Andre. “He went out of his way to change for me,” she said. “I think if you can actually get to the other side and make it through it, it makes it all worthwhile.”
She then touched on the judgement she’s faced, revealing people have asked her ‘why are you still with them?’ or why she would give him another shot, acknowledging how some might view it as a sign of weakness.

“But, I think only you know what’s truly right for you,” she added. “And as I say, if that person can really show that they want to change, like you cannot change somebody. But if they go out of their way to change themselves, I really do think that that kind of tells you everything you need to know.”
Leigh-Anne reflected on the necessity of overcoming hurdles in her relationship to reach the blissful state they’re in now. “For me personally, I had to go through these struggles and things in our relationship to get to the point where we are now, which is a really beautiful place,” she said. She encouraged listeners not to view forgiveness as “a weak thing to do.”
OK! reports that The songstress previously got real about her love life struggles last year, confessing that the journey with Andre “hadn’t always been easy”. She told Glamour magazine: “We’ve been through so much to the point where we could’ve split up, but we got through it, and I truly believe we had to go through all that to be the strongest couple we could be.”
Challenges and Triumphs
She opened up about the rocky start to their relationship, sharing that her now-husband found himself in “potentially toxic situations” and acknowledging that he had “a lot of growing up to do”. Leigh-Anne didn’t shy away from discussing the impact of toxic masculinity, attributing some of their early issues to the negative influences in “his environment”. Despite these challenges, she confirmed they have overcome their struggles.
The couple’s bond appears stronger than ever, with Andre showing his support for Leigh-Anne at her debut festival gig at Rock In Rio on Saturday, where her mother Deborah Thornhill was also present. After a seven-year romance, Leigh-Anne and Andre secretly wed in June 2023 in Jamaica and are proud parents to twin daughters.
