Managers of fantasy football leagues have some new inspiration as to what their last-place prize should be next season. Joe DeLeone, a college football and draft analyst for Bleav, went viral on X after he said he was forced to eat his way through the McDonald’s menu as punishment for losing his fantasy football league. DeLeone documented the experience over the eight hours it took him to eat enough food to leave the restaurant, as according to the rules of the league. The saga gained more and more interaction as DeLeone documented the pitfalls of the experience, such as the result of ordering a dozen hash browns at once: While struggling through his multiple breakfasts, DeLeone also did multiple media hits from the McDonald’s: “It was just cool to see how everyone was supporting this, because it’s just a fun, stupid thing to do in the offseason,” DeLeone said after completing the challenge. “Definitely was stupid, though. I’m gonna go lay down.” Managers have 82 days to devise creative fantasy punishments of their own before the 2024 NFL season kicks off on September 5 with an AFC Championship Game rematch between the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs.
