Half an hour into its trip to Auckland on Friday morning, the plane had to turn back after a bird strike. The 737 plane landed safely just after 7am. It is unknown how many passengers were on board, however, a Qantas spokesperson said their flight would be rescheduled or they would be accommodated on a later flight. More to come.
