Taylor Swift was forced to halt her Eras Tour show in Liverpool tonight after suffering a technical blunder with her earpiece. During her Evermore set, the pop star needed to pause to adjust her in-ear pieces. As she fiddled with the technology, she told the crowd: “My in-ears I have someone… someone has their mic on and it is like a wind tunnel. Thats just .. I’m being told that’s just the way the wind sounds. This is just how windy it is.” After returning to the show, which included a sweet thank you speech to fans, she was paused yet again after becoming concerned over a fan. So, when you see that there’s like one of our guys has a green there, that means they’ve got to them,” Taylor explained as her team handled the situation. From there, she was able to once again continue on, strumming her guitar, the Mirror reports. The performance later came to another standstill after fans erupted in cheers over her singing Champagne Problems. She looked out over the crowd as the fans cheered for minutes. Tonight the singer broke the attendance record at Anfield Stadium. She told the crowd: “So, I just want to say, those things mean the world to us getting to play this show for people who would go so far above and beyond for us and welcome us to Liverpool in such a fashion. We love you so much and, you know, while I was walking to the stage, they pulled me aside and told me another thing you did for us tonight. “And that thing is that you, you broke the all time attendance record for this stadium tonight. Don’t you just love knowing there’s never been as many people in this room as there are right now? I, personally, love that feeling.”
