Despite Russell Wilson’s return to full health, the Pittsburgh Steelers appear to be sticking with Justin Fields as their main man.

A recent report from The Athletic suggests that both coaches and players see Fields as their go-to guy after he stepped in for the first five games due to Wilson’s persistent hamstring injury.

Despite losing their last two, with a 3-2 record in their first five games, coach Mike Tomlin has named Fields as this week’s starter, with all signs pointing towards this being a long-term decision. As Wilson nears the end of his career, the Steelers may consider using him as a trade asset to bolster their team around Fields.

Mirror Sports US has identified three potential suitors for Wilson ahead of this month’s trade deadline.

Miami Dolphins

Despite losing their quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to another concussion and an uncertain status for the rest of the season, the Dolphins are just one win away from topping their division and still have the potential to make the playoffs.

If they hope to string together a series of victories, they’ll need a stronger quarterback. Both backups Tyler Huntley and Skyler Thompson have been underperforming.

Wilson would be a significant improvement and could potentially remain the starter for the season given Tagovailoa’s injury worries.

Las Vegas Raiders

Gardner Minshew was recently benched due to his poor performance this season, with Aidan O’Connell stepping up to start this week – though he has yet to prove himself as a competent NFL starter.

Despite being in the challenging AFC West division, the Raiders still appear to have a competitive team with talent on both sides. Wilson would join possibly the best wide receiver he’s ever played with, Davante Adams, assuming he isn’t transferred after requesting a trade.

Tennessee Titans

Will Levis needs to step up his game quickly or risk losing his starting position – with four touchdowns and six interceptions in the team’s first four games. The Titans need an offensive boost or they could end up with one of the worst records in the NFL.

While Wilson is only a short-term solution, he’d be joining a roster filled with offensive talent. And with a new head coach, the Titans might not want to wait for Levis to improve.
