Ellie Goulding and estranged husband Caspar Jopling proved they were the friendliest of exes while partying together at Glastonbury on Saturday – four months after announcing their split following four years of marriage. The singer, 37, and art dealer, 32, appeared to be having a wonderful time as they strolled through the field with pals before joining the crowd to enjoy the music.

Ellie, who shares three-year-old son Arthur with Caspar, kept a low profile in a baseball cap and shades and seemingly went unnoticed by her fellow festival goers. The songstress wore beige shorts and a matching vest as well as a huge sparkling ring on her right hand while sipping from a paper cup. Caspar was also dressed for the sunny weather and was spotted sharing a giggle with Ellie, who said when announcing their split that they were still the ‘closest of friends’ and had been ‘successfully co-parenting’.

MailOnline have contacted Ellie’s representatives for comment. The former couple shared a joint statement on Instagram after it was revealed Ellie had moved on with hunky surf instructor Armando Perez when the pair were spotted packing on the PDA in Costa Rica. Ellie’s trip to Central America was the second this year and she is believed to have met Armando during a trip in January. She and her Caspar were reportedly living separate lives for at least six months, despite trying to work things out for the sake of their son Arthur, two.

In her statement, the musician wrote: ‘In light of recent stories, I feel I have been left with no choice but to let you all know that Caspar and I privately separated some time ago. ‘We remain the closest of friends and have been successfully co-parenting with our sons best interests at heart. ‘We are committed to protecting our family privacy and thank people in advance for respecting our wishes – we won’t be commenting further. Thank you.’

Friends of the couple told MailOnline ‘divorce is the only outcome’ following their split after two years battling to save their relationship. In April it was revealed Ellie has poured her heartbreak over the split from into her new music. She debuted one of the emotional songs, Easy To Love Me, in which she opens up about the split, during a one-off performance at the Royal Albert Hall.

To make Ellie’s performance in the UK capital this week even more devastating, Caspar was watching in the audience. In the song, she sings: ‘Every mistake I made was the last one, yet you still fight for us. ‘I know it’s not easy to love me but I’m yours if you want me. I know it’s not easy to love me but I’m yours, so completely. I tried to soak up all the water you had to wade through just to reach me.’

Later in the track, she continues: ‘Maybe I’m too much for you. All the questions, they hurt my head. ‘Finally found something true I might lose, but you know I’ll be there.’

On writing the song with Canadian producer and songwriter Jack Rochon, Ellie said according to The Sun: ‘We wrote this, but it’s what I do — I write from the heart and I write what I’m feeling and think about the consequences afterwards. ‘I’m writing a new album. I’m hoping it will be out this year. I’ve been working pretty hard and it’s sounding good.
