Love Island’s Luca Bish has received a flurry of supportive messages from his co-stars after sharing a photo of himself in hospital. The 2022 ITV2 show participant posted an image of himself with one leg strapped up and in a brace from a hospital bed. Despite the brace, the 25-year-old appeared cheerful as he smiled for the camera and gave a thumbs-up. He captioned the post with lyrics from Ed Sheeran’s song ‘Thinking Out Loud’: “When your legs don’t work like they used to before”. Fellow Love Island stars quickly filled the comments section with well-wishes. Andrew Le Page wrote: “Speedy recovery lad,” while Dami Hope added: “Back in top form soon my boyyyy,”. Ekin-Su Culculoglu commented: “Get better soon bro you still look fresh,” and Jacques O’Neill said: “Got ya bro, be back better”. I broke my leg a few years ago and it’s mad how much it recovers! Just make sure you do the physio.” This comes just two months after Luca shared a video of himself being wheeled around in a wheelchair in July, with his left leg strapped up and in a brace, and crutches on his lap. Luca, who graced Love Island two years ago, opened up to OK! last year about his experience on the show as he dived into his new endeavour with BBC’s Celebrity MasterChef. He shared how the cooking competition reignited his passion. “Making that show has brought me back to being the Luca before the villa,” he expressed. “I felt myself again, it made me feel comfortable to do TV again. I was still very unsure if I wanted to be put in a situation where you can be shown in a certain light, but it made me feel so happy.” Luca, who reached the Love Island final alongside Gemma Owen, also touched on how the reality show had drained him. “I was like a battery and most of my juice was gone by the end of it and I was just ready to go,” he said. “I was mentally not there. When my mum and dad came in [as part of the Meet the Parents challenge], they even said they weren’t looking at their son. And that’s sad to hear, but thanks to MasterChef I feel back and if not better than I have before. It’s just learning, but I feel amazing. I’ve embraced it.” Follow Mirror Celebs on TikTok , Snapchat , Instagram , Twitter , Facebook , YouTube and Threads
