Beyond his role as chief architect, Ar. Ashok Mahajan was passionately involved in promoting the Indian Institute of Architects within our state. As Chairman of the IIA J&K Centre, he worked tirelessly to elevate the standards of practice and foster a sense of community among architects. His efforts have not only advanced the profession locally but also inspired many young architects to pursue excellence in their work. His demise is a profound loss to the architectural fraternity. We remember him not only for his professional achievements but also for his warm personality, generosity, and unwavering commitment to the growth and betterment of our field.
