An “iconic” Welsh nightclub has been put up for sale and could be yours for £450,000. ATIK in Wrexham ceased operations at the beginning of the year after its owner Rekom UK entered administration and subsequently handed back the lease to the city centre establishment, leading to staff redundancies, North Wales Live has reported.

ATIK’s shutdown was due to the cost-of-living crisis’ toll on the youth and increased business expenses, marking what was called the “end of an era”. Now listed with Christie and Co, the venue is described as having “a prominent location upon Brook Street between the intersections of both Vicarage Hill and Town Hill adjacent to the main licensed and late night circuit”.

Christie and Co said: “All fixtures and fittings are to be included within the sale however, any items that are owned by a third party or personal to our clients will be exempt.” For the latest Welsh news delivered to your inbox sign up to our newsletter.

They continued: “The property is offered with immediate vacant possession and is suitable for existing late night hospitality or alternate use, subject to planning. It is on a long leasehold. 999 years from October 2006, subject to a peppercorn rent.”
