Stuart Kettlewell’s new look side have been handed an opening day fixture at home to Ross County on Saturday, August 3, a side who survived relegation last season by winning the play-off final against Raith Rovers. They then follow that up with a trip to face Rangers on Saturday, August 10, and host Hearts 14 days later, for a reunion with midfielder Blair Spittal. A trip to Perth for a clash with St Johnstone looms on Saturday, August 31, and they round off their first five fixtures with a trip to face Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Saturday, September 14. Airdrie have been handed a reunion with old foes Raith Rovers at New Broomfield on opening day, a side they were undefeated against last season. They then travel to Scott Brown’s Ayr United at Somerset Park on Friday, August 9, and the Diamonds then host Queen’s Park at New Broomfield on Saturday, August 24. A derby clash against Hamilton at New Douglas Park looms on Saturday, August 31, and they round off their first five at home to Falkirk on Saturday, September 14. Hamilton kick off their Championship return at home to Scott Brown’s Ayr United, as goalkeeper Charlie Albinson and defender Sean McGinty cross swords with their old club. They then travel to Dougie Imrie’s Morton in Greenock on Saturday. August 10, before hosting Dunfermline Athletic on Saturday, August 24. A derby clash at home to Airdrie looms on Saturday, August 31, and they round off their first five games with a trip to face Championship newcomers Livingston on Saturday, September 9. Clyde have been handed a trip to Forfar on League Two opening day, and follow that up with a home clash against Stranraer on Saturday, August 10. They stay at New Douglas Park for a clash against Stirling Albion on Saturday, August 17, and finish their first five with an away double-header at Bonnyrigg Rose (Saturday, August 24) and East Fife (Saturday, August 31).
