Iconic Perth hotel Hyatt Regency on Adelaide Terrace announces shock closure after 36 years
By Taylor Renouf, PerthNow | July 1, 2024 10:59AM
An iconic Perth hotel will be closing its doors after 36 years of welcoming guests from around the world. Hyatt Regency announced on Monday that it will no longer operate as a hotel from August 31.
“It is with much regret that Hyatt Regency Perth will cease to operate, but we are grateful to have had the privilege to serve and care for all who have come through its doors,” General Manager of Hyatt Regency Perth Thiva Kesavan said.
“As we navigate this challenging period, our thoughts are with all those affected by the hotel’s closure and we are committed to ensuring they are supported.”
The company will be contacting customers with affected bookings and is “exploring opportunities for associates with onward job opportunities”.
