The Swedish car maker Volvo is gearing up to boost its EV prdocut line worldwide. In a move to attract the masses towards battery-powered vehicle, the copmpany is all set to launch first electric sedan ES90 in 2025.
It has been reported that the global debut has been set somewhere in March 2025. However, an exact date is yet to be announced. If remours are to be belived, the upcoming model has been developed with a major focus on the Chinese market, although it will reach multiple countries to contribute in EV segment.
Here What to Expect from e-sedan
The upcoming e-sedan is likely to share a lot of similarities with electric SUV EX90, featuring the identical ‘Thor’s hammer’ headlights setup, paired sleek DRLs, complimented by closed-off grille with dominant stance. The overall profile from outside might flaunt similair vibe as company’s S90 sedan.
Interior Details
Moving inside, the cabin, again will share a bunch of similarties with EX90. Customers can expected a fully touchscreen infotainment console at the centre, suppored by all the wireless car connect technolog. A fully digital intstrument cluster will be there to uplift the overall driving expirence.
Platform and Dimension
The model will use Volvo’s bespoke electric SPA2 platform. In case you are not aware, it is the same platform that has been used for EX90. When it comest to overall size, the EV will be longer as comapred to S90, featuring an impressive length of 4,999mm, and is likely to have a wheelbase of 3,100mm.
Powertrain Options
Under the hood, the ES90 will be will come with a 111kWh battery that will offer a maximum range up to 600km on single charge. It will be offered in both single-motor model with rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor with all-wheel-drive version.
