The Nigeria-AfroAsia Small and Medium Enterprises Exhibition Summit (NAASMES) 2024 is set to take center stage in November, inviting Nigerians to gear up for a transformative event. According to a statement issued by the Inter-ministerial Committee in Abuja, the summit aligns with the President Bola Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope agenda, aiming to promote export-oriented SMEs while empowering women and youth to access global markets. Slated to take place at the Velodrome, MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, from November 19 to 21, 2024, the summit will feature key sectors such as textiles, leather, ICT, aquaculture and fisheries, blue economy, CNG, agro-allied industries, agriculture, solid minerals, and more. The event aims to highlight opportunities in the secfors, driving innovation, networking, and showcasing Nigeria’s entrepreneurial prowess on a global stage. In preparation for the main event, the Inter-ministerial Committee has also announced a pre-event visit to Vietnam on September 29, 2024, aimed at fostering international relations and business opportunities for Nigeria’s SMEs. “The target Sectors includes; Textiles, Leather, ICT, the Blue Economy, Aquaculture and fisheries, CNG, Agro-Allieds, technology, Agriculture, solid minerals, and more,” the statement read. NAASMES 2024 promises interactive workshops, competitions, and networking sessions with industry leaders, as well as engagement with government and international delegations. The committee emphasized that the summit is expected to unlock global market access for Nigerian SMEs, aiding economic diversification and national growth. By bringing together innovators, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders, the summit is set to catalyze Nigeria’s small and medium enterprises towards greater opportunities in the global economy.
